RFM98 HAB Tracker and Lost Model Locator Boards
This is a tracker board for the HOPE RFM9x LoRa device. The board can be used as a High Altitude Balloon (HAB) tracker and receiver or a Lost Model Locator transmitter and receiver.
Details, assembly instructions and code for the HAB tracker Build will be found in the ‘LoRa HAB Tracker’ folder here;
The assembly of this minamalist design was posted as a blog post here;
The blog post was for a tracker based on the DRF1278F device, but assembly with the RFM98 is very similar.
Details, assembly instructions and code for the Lost Model Locator build will be found in the ‘LoRa Lost Model Locator’ folder here;
The supplied PCB splits into two tracker boards, nominally a transmitter and a receiver, although they will each do either.
Included with the tracker PCBs is a Version 4 display backpack board, which allows displays such as ILI9341 and Nokia 5110 to be connected via an I2C connection. See the display repository here for code and details. The 2mm spacing pin headers to mount the RFM9x module are included.
